A tribute to Tigerair Mandala
18 June 2014 was surely one of the saddest day of my life.
I lost a "baby".
It was really heartbreaking, you know. Because I raised him since he was still 9 months old. I raised him when he was still in recovery after previously announced dead. I raised him from the time he still crawled, then he could walked, and finally he could run. But just like Benjamin Button, he got old and died again too quickly -- only after one and a half years being in my care.
I never thought that I could be this emotional when it comes to a client. But I really fell in love with Tigerair Mandala, and I was devastated knowing that they could no longer continue their operation.
I was sad when I received those hatred comments on the internet at the beginning. I was happy when people started to trust Tigerair Mandala as their flying partner. I was super happy when people started to praise Tigerair Mandala for its excellent service or the humble approach in the social media account. And I was thrilled to know that our biggest competitor, Air Asia, started to copycat our social media treatment, our promo, and even our campaigns. I was sad when slowly, they decided to close down several routes. And I was literally cried when finally, a client that I dearly love announced its bankruptcy.
So long, Tigerair Mandala.. Thank you for flying me to so many places last year. Thank you for introducing me to a really exciting world called the airline industry. Thank you for awakening the traveling desire in me. Thank you for trusting me to raise you and take care of you. Thank you for the opportunity to work with you. Thank you for being the most awesome client ever. Thank you and I do really hope to hear you roar again in the future.
Tiger Mandala was your client? Sorry to hear that Kania. I personally love their brand, and honestly the service is great as well. I rarely have delays with them.
